We specialize in cotillion styled choreography for Sweet 16’s and Quinceaneras, while promoting positive self-esteem to the birthday girl and her participants.

Our creative process: Through a 16 week rehearsal cycle, the youth are trained and taught various dance styles and performance techniques. This time is also used to empower the youth. Through consistent positive reinforcement, visualization exercise, and discussions, their self-esteem increases as they begin to realize their importance and how they play a role in the decision making process that impacts their lives and the lives of those around them.

The day of the event: While fully dressed in tuxedos and fancy dresses, prepared to perform and display what they have learned, their self-esteem further increases as they receive positive feedback from family, friends and other invited guest.

Dance School
The Dance school is a spin-off from the Sweet 16 and Quinces that the company has done. Over the years our company has worked with many youth, through its creations of choreography for Sweet 16’s and Quinceaneras. Without realizing it, the company was providing youth with a source of hope and pride in them selves. The above mentioned company has also been instrumental in removing youth from gangs and other violent situations.

Through the weekly dance and training sessions for the Sweet 16/ Quinceaneras, the youth began to realize that they could accomplish things they were once afraid to attempt. However, after their training sessions were over and their performances were done, they were left with nothing to hold on to but the memories of the people they met and the performance they accomplished. There were some instances however, where the youth participated in each other’s Sweet 16s; serving as a forum for more training as well as an opportunity for them to reunite. Once these sessions were over and the performances were done, the youth often asked “what happens now”? For a while we struggled with this question. Well, the struggle is now over.

We are now very happy and thankful to inform you that we have begun our dance school. This school will give the above mentioned, youth and new youth as well, an opportunity to continue doing positive things in their lives and in the lives of others. Classes will be held on Sundays from 12:00pm - 4:00pm at 977 Tiffany St. between Westchester Ave and 163rd Street in the Bronx. Classes begin on January 8th 2006.
